We've got some changes for biz bytes - more content, more regulalry. Here's a snippet of what I've got in mind.
Hey, it's Anthony here with an update for you on the future of BizBytes through Season 4. Before I do that, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who's been part of the BizBytes community over the last five years, whether you're a guest, a regular subscriber or have just listened to the odd episode. Thank you so much. I couldn't have got this far without you. It's been a long five years, with a pandemic in the middle, but through that time we've recorded over 60 episodes. We've got over 600 minutes of content along the way, and we cover everything from quantum computing and AI right up to electric ferries and everything in between the people, the process, the systems. So where to from here? The format's going to evolve a little bit. We're going to bring in some more content. The guest episodes will continue. They will be a monthly part of the show, but we're also going to bring in some other messaging that talk to what leaders need to hear to understand how to make smarter technology decisions. We'll talk about the work that needs to happen before a system gets switched on. We'll unpack the messy middle between strategy approved and technology delivered, and we'll look at execution disciplines that actually make your system stick, because, at the end of the day, technology is not just about systems, it's about people and process. So what else is coming along the way, as well as guest episodes? Well, we're going to bring in some episodes where I debunk some myths and deflate some hype. There's a lot of mixed messages and misinformation out there, and what I'll be trying to do is cut through that noise and bring a solid grounding on what is actually happening in the world of technology and what it means for business, without any of that hype or jargon. We're going to look at some of the observations of what I've seen with clients that I'm working with and some of the challenges they've struggled with and how we might have overcome them. We're also going to look at some of the broader themes that might come from technology leadership and how to distinguish your organization as a technology leader and not just someone who manages a bunch of systems.
Speaker 1:Alongside the audio channel, I've also established a Substack channel that's bizbytessubstackcom, and that's where you'll go for all of the additional content. Now, I know Substack has a subscription model to it, but the main point I want to stress here is that every single episode will be available free forever. You're not going to have to pay just to listen to this. We're going to remain free through whatever podcast channel you're listening to. Substack will just be for additional content and for those who do choose to subscribe, they'll be getting some extra benefits. They'll be able to recommend guests, raise questions, they may even get a shout out on the show and they'll also get access to some behind the scenes content in advance. So some of the content that I'm creating around Vizbytes that will be useful for people to be making smarter technology decisions, we're making that available early to subscribers. Like I say, it's your choice. So if you don't want to subscribe, I understand and I appreciate you hanging on as a listener because you're always going to get these episodes for free.
Speaker 1:When does it start? Well, we're going to start as soon as possible. July 1st will be when we kick off with the new episode. Episodes will land every Wednesday. The guest episodes will continue to be a longer form of content, but between that, every other Wednesday, we'll be delivering between 10 and 15 minutes of quality insights, thoughts and information. So if you want to keep hearing great information from BizBytes, please hit subscribe. Head over to that Substack channel, bizbytessubstackcom. I really appreciate you subscribing to the channel and I'd love to have you on the journey with me.
